Hence: for this reason, therefore, consequently ― COOL WORDS

Hence is a cool word because it makes you sound smart and authoritative.  For example:  Brushing and flossing daily will lead to good oral health hence no traumatic dental visits. (FYI― In my other life, I work for a dentist . . .  just a little public service plug.)

The archaic meaning of hence is depart! go away! ―the exclamation points are the dictionary’s, not mine― as in:  After a long, hard life they were taken hence. I found this creepy example on the internet . . .  Pretty sure I don’t want to know where hence is . . .
